Soup AngelS Ministry
The Soup Angels is a ministry dedicated to helping address hunger and food insecurity throughout Lancaster City and the surrounding community by providing warm meals and compassionate care to those in need.
On the second Wednesday of each month, Soup Angels serves the unhoused population out of New Creations United Methodist Church in Lancaster City.
In addition, twice each month, the ministry provides meals to residents of Church Street Towers, a Lancaster City Housing Authority community.
Soup Angels also serves meals once a month at the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center and the Columbia Service Center, extending its outreach to seniors and individuals throughout the region.
Second Friday
Second Friday is a monthly community gathering designed to bring church members and neighbors together in a fun, welcoming environment where friendships can grow and meaningful relationships can be built.
Held on the second Friday of each month from 6:30–8:30 p.m., each event offers a variety of activities, including table games, music bingo, trivia, movie nights, and more. Food and drinks are provided, making it a relaxed evening for all to enjoy.

HUMANITARIAN RELIEF
The LUMC Disaster Response Ministry focuses on the call in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 to comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. We work to prepare for, respond to, and help those recover from natural and human-made disasters in our community and around the world.
In partnership with the United Methodist Committee on Relief, as well as local and national organizations, our goal is to equip our church and neighbors to be proactively ready for emergencies in our community. Working together, we also desire to be there when disaster happens, ready to respond with Christian love and support. In the aftermath of calamity, we reach out to those who are in need of recovery through our prayers, our gifts, and our presence.
